COVID-19: A (dangerous) disease of isolation
Guest: Larry Gourdine, chief engagement officer, The Opioid Collaborative

Join Larry Gourdine, chief engagement officer of The Opioid Collaborative, popular WJNI radio host Terry Base, and Garcia Williams, executive director of The Medi, for a #COVID19 conversation about resources that are critical to support those in addiction recovery during this pandemic.

Larry discusses how addiction is a disease of isolation, which can be particularly problematic during a pandemic that isolates people from one another. Connecting to care and care transitions are critical to breaking the cycle of addiction treatment and relapse.

Larry, an advocate for the addiction population and a graduate of The Citadel, also serves on the board of The Medi, which is in partnership with PIW Partners In Care Network to mobilize and support the Peer Recovery Coaches community in the Washington, DC metropolitan area.

Tune in every Monday morning to WJNI 106.3 FM or listen online at www.wjnigospel.com for a new, local conversation about COVID-19 and how it's affecting under-served populations, with information and experts that can't be found anywhere else.
